This year’s Investors Conference dedicated specifically to Regenerative Medicine and cell based technologies and therapies will be held at the Frankfurt Innovation Centre for Biotechnology as an all day event on Friday, April 9, 2010. Cell based therapies are directed to develop technologies and treatments in indications such as cardio-vascular diseases (MI and stroke); neurodegenerative disorders (Parkinson’s); organ repair (liver); Diabetes; and various Cancers. The Conference is geared primarily towards institutional and strategic investors interested to understand opportunities for financial participation in this fast emerging innovative field of medicine. The topics of this year’s Conference will not only offer potential investors a showcase of interesting projects but also address issues surrounding the research and technologies in question. This innovative new field of modern medicine has experienced tremendous progress throughout the last year and the opportunities are beginning to take visible shape.

Following a Press Conference that addresses the business press, in particular; and Welcome Remarks; RegMedInvest 2010 will feature a Political Key Note Address. The speaker(s) will be announced shortly. The key note will focus on the establishment of a government sponsored Fund providing financial support for the validation of technologies to proof of principle. In order to gain access to sources of funding, researchers and start-ups need to show proof of principle for their innovative technologies. Reaching proof of principle stage is currently a great financial challenge and the German government promised to advance promising technologies through establishment of this Fund earmarked specifically for proof of principle research.
There will be a total of three Legal Presentations addressing ethical, IP and contractual issues related to stem cells and cell based technologies. The Industrial Presentations will feature medium and larger size companies involved in regenerative medicine projects and will describe the particular interests of these companies in the emerging technologies. Finally, the Biotechnology Presentations will feature presentations of specific projects in pre start-up or early start-up stage from selected clusters of excellence in Regenerative Medicine.

Registration
Due to a limited number of spaces at this Conference, we recommend interested individuals and parties to register expeditiously. In the event that the number of interested participants exceeds available space, grm will only have limited options to increase capacities. Registrations will be processed on a first come first serve basis!
To register and receive further instructions, please fill out the registration form provided on either www.regmedinvest.com or www.grm-aktuell.de and send it to GRM as instructed on those websites. The registration form provides wiring instructions for the Conference fee that you need to follow in order for your registration to be confirmed.
For interested participants, GRM has negotiated with hotels in the vicinity of the Conference venue a number of hotel rooms at competitive rates. These will also be available on a first come first serve basis.
Conference Fees
Regular Fee**:
• Non GRM Members € 400.00 • GRM Members € 200.00
Early Bird Fee*:
• Non GRM Members € 300.00 • GRM Members € 150.00
The Conference fee includes participation at the Conference; two coffee breaks; lunch; after Conference reception; and materials to be distributed during the Conference.
Please Note:
* The Early Bird Fee applies for registrations that are physically received by GRM on Friday, February 5, 2010 by close of business; in addition the Conference fee has to be received and posted in the bank account specified on the Conference registration form on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 by close of bank hours in order for the registration to qualify for early bird.
** Regular registration deadline is Friday, February 26, 2010 by close of business with the Conference fee received on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 by close of bank hours.
A registration will only be valid and confirmed upon receipt of the Conference fee as specified above.
Should you be interested to become a member of GRM, membership applications can be downloaded from either www.grm-aktuell.de or www.regmedinvest.com and submitted to GRM. If you intend to take advantage of the special GRM member Conference fees, your membership application must be received by GRM before the registration deadlines specified above and the Conference fee must be received on the dates specified above as well.
Cancellation Policy:
Due to the fact that GRM is a small organization with limited personnel and financial resources and GRM’s aim to offer this Conference at very competitive fee levels, cancellations with corresponding refund of fees can only be considered for registrations confirmed before February 5, 2010.
